Treatment Focus
Dr. Dueck's part-time private practice is primarily devoted to offering psychological services to adults. Much of her practice focuses on supporting first responders (police officers, paramedics, and firefighters), military personnel and veterans, healthcare workers, and veterinary professionals.
She has specific clinical interests and experience in the following areas:

Dr. Dueck uses evidence-based treatment approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), individually tailored and goal-oriented to maximize your progress and success.
Treatment is available in-person or via telehealth (video or phone), depending on your location and preference. No referral is required; however, referrals are welcomed from physicians, healthcare providers, and third parties such as insurance companies. Dr. Dueck is also an approved provider for members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Veterans Affairs Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces, and WorkSafe BC.
Dr. Dueck works collaboratively with her clients to ensure treatment is as effective and meaningful as possible, and she welcomes feedback throughout the process.

Return to Work Focused Services
Return to Work Focused Treatment Services: Dr. Dueck also has a special interest and focus on assisting people to return to work, and part of her practice exclusively provides these services to individuals referred to her through a third party, such as an insurance company for people who are off work due to a medical leave or are struggling to remain at work. This service may entail an initial assessment to gain a better understanding of an individual’s work-related concerns and barriers and to make treatment recommendations. If referred for treatment as well, the focus is to facilitate an individual’s recovery and successful and durable return to work. Please contact Dr. Dueck if you wish to discuss a referral.
